Copyright Policy

Ortios respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. It is our policy to respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with applicable intellectual property law and to terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

Content Ownership

All content uploaded to Ortios remains the property of the original creator. By uploading content to Ortios, creators grant us a non-exclusive license to display, distribute, and promote their content on our platform according to the terms of service and the specific license options selected by the creator.

Creators on Ortios maintain full copyright ownership of their work and can choose from various licensing options to determine how buyers can use their content.

Licensing Options

Ortios offers creators several licensing options to protect their work while allowing for commercial use:

  • Standard License - Allows buyers to use the content for personal and limited commercial purposes
  • Extended License - Provides broader commercial rights, including use in products for resale
  • Exclusive License - Grants exclusive rights to the buyer for a specified period
  • Custom License - Tailored licensing terms negotiated between creator and buyer

DMCA Compliance

Ortios complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe that material available on our platform infringes your copyright, you (or your agent) may send us a notice requesting that the material be removed or access to it blocked.

The notice must include the following information:

  • An electronic or physical signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright interest
  • A description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed
  • A description of where the material that you claim is infringing is located on the site
  • Your address, telephone number, and email address
  • A statement by you that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  • A statement by you, made under penalty of perjury, that the above information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf

Counter-Notice Procedure

If you believe that your content was removed or access to it was disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notice with us that includes the following:

  • Your physical or electronic signature
  • Identification of the content that has been removed or to which access has been disabled and the location at which the content appeared before it was removed or access to it was disabled
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the content was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification
  • Your name, address, telephone number, and email address, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for the judicial district in which your address is located, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided notification of the alleged infringement
